The Lao Spirit Restaurant is in a reconstructed colonial era building. Built of beam and torchis walls on high wooden stilts, it has a tall double pitched roof and is naturally ventilated. Guests can linger over breakfast, lunch or drinks on the terrace overlooking the Nam Khan river with a view to the hills beyond.
The Restaurant team prepares a selected menu of Asian (Thai and Lao) and European specialties for Lunch and dinner. For breakfast we offer different varieties from Western style to Asian traditional. With only five bungalows in the resort there is always an intimate ambiance.
Lao Spirit Resort is the starting point for a wide range of nature activities, featuring a one hour elephant ride. In the mornings the resort guests have the opportunity for a close up view of the elephants bathing in the Nam Khan River. Guests can take the resort's longtail boat for a fascinating 15 minute trip to the lovely Tad Se waterfall cascades. A three hour Kayak trip returning to Luang Prabang or a beautiful Kayak tour on the upper Nam Khan river ending at the Lao Spirit Resort.
Note: The bungalows and the lodge buildings are set on steep sided banks, and young children should be supervised. The resort is operating all year round.
As I sit here in the Singapore Airport I can honesty tell you that this was truly the most memorable vacation I have every taken. It was flawless and everytime we think you couldn't outdue yourself on hotel selection the next hotel was more fabulous than the last. All the airport and hotel pick-ups were right on time and courteous. Thank you so much"
